If you're visiting Costa Rica, a stop at Uvita Beach is a must. Uvita Beach is known as the "whale's tail." When you take a look at the aerial view, you'll understand why.
The beach leading up to the tail is sandy and smooth. |
The sun can be brutal, so be sure to bring your sunscreen! |
You can see from the tire tracks that a lot of boats get launched from this area. |
If the tide is out you can walk out onto the tail. Be careful not to get stuck out there! |
This area is quite rocky, so be sure you are wearing shoes. |
If you're considering a trip to Costa Rica, I hope you'll add a trip to the Whale's Tail to your itinerary! If you're looking for a place to stay, check out
